My customer measure TPS51206 power on input current and record the peak current is around 5.4A. Due to this part is only 2A continue current, so they are worry about this large current will damage the device. And tha's why we need your double confirmation is this kind of inrush current safe in really application.
Please let me know your comments then I can update the answer to customer.
BTW, this kind of current pattern appeared regularly in system standby mode and the period is around every 10ms. This power rail is for DDR VTT. The equivalent output capacitance is around 100uF.
