Hello

Would you provide me TLV1117LV33DCYR maximum current limit value?

Customer uses input resistor for LDO dropout input voltage.

If input resistor flow the over current,It's very dangerous.

Because,Customer wants to know TLV1117LV33DCYR maximum current limit value.

    Hi Masaya-san,

    For TLV1117LV we only specify the minimum current limit, keep in mind that current limit is a feature to help protect the regulator during fault conditions, also as per the datasheet (section 7.3.1):  

    “During current limit, the output sources a fixed amount of current that is largely independent of the output voltage. In such a case, the output voltage is not regulated, and can be calculated by the formula: VOUT = ILIMIT × RLOAD”

    Could you give more details about why your costumer is concerned about the current limit? if possible please share the schematic.
