Does the architecture below work with LM78L15? Application is actually +24V source and they need +/- 15V for an OPAMP. Any other devices that should be considered?

Hi Sean,

I am not very familiar with LM78L15; however, in general an inverting switching regulator is used to generate the negative rail. An LDO will then follow the switcher to reduce the switching noise.

Hi Sean,
Your configuration for positive and negative rail regulation looks correct. Just make sure the polarity of C3 and C4 is correct. The alternative of this configuration can be for LM317-N and LM337-N adjustable positive and negative regulators. We recently released and EVM for this that and you can see the test report below:

For fixed regulation, the LM78Lxx and LM79Lxx should work fine.
