LP5907: Please help in understanding the datasheet dimensions

Need to use SOT package. The package drawing is somewhat difficult to comprehend.

Please clarify the following:

1. meaning of dimension markings of the form A/B ?

2. meaning of dimension markings written in a box ?

Hi Joydeep,

The top number (A) is the maximum for the dimension. The bottom number (B) is the minimum for the dimension.

Can you tell (1) what does the dimensions written within a rectangular box mean? e.g., 0.95 pin to pin spacing - is it the nominal value?

(2) Also, what does the M within a circle mean in the dimension marking "0,20 (M)"

Hi Joydeep,

These are standard Geometric dimensioning and tolerance symbols.

When a dimension is written within a rectangular box like that it means it is the "theoretically exact dimension." These dimensions can be used for reference purposes.

The M within a circle means "maximum metal requirement."
