TPS7A8300: Thermal Performance

Part Number: TPS7A8300

What is theta-JC top, theta-JC Bottom (i.e. Pad), and theta-jb for the two different packages? The existing thread seems to Insinuate that theta-jc bottom = 1 °C/W for RGR package, and 1.6°C/W for the RGW package, is this correct? Also, is the stated value to bottom center pad, or somewhere else?

  • Hi Tom,

We provide this data in the Thermal Information table of the datasheet.  As you can see 1.6 C/W for RGW and 1 C/W for RGR is what the current model states.

The Application Report that goes into how the Thermal Information table is generated is provided in the footnote of the Thermal Information table.  Here is a direct link:

    Very Respectfully,

    Ryan
