LP5907: About slew rate of the input voltage

Guru 21045 points
Part Number: LP5907

Hi Team,

Does LP5907 have limitation of slew rate of the input voltage?

(For example, LP5907 can't receive the high slew rate (more than **V/ns).)

And, we understand that LP5907 don't have limitation of power sequence (VIN and EN).

Because, absolute maximum ratings of EN does not depend on VIN.

Is my understanding correct?

Kanemaru

  • Hi Kanemaru,

We do not have a known maximum Vin slew rate; however, the slew rate of Vin will directly impact how Vout ramps up and how much overshoot will be present on the output. How fast are you intending to ramp Vin?

You are correct that there is no power sequence limitation between Vin and EN; however, you will want to refer to the Recommended Operating Conditions table to make this determination as it is this table that shows the conditions that LP5907 is designed, tested, and characterized to operate over. The Absolute Maximum table shows stress test ratings only and does not imply functionality.

    Very Respectfully,
    Ryan
  • Hi Ryan-san,

Thank you for your prompt reply.

I will report your advice and confirm about ramp of VIN.
