Dear Sirs

I like to use TPS79301 as a constant current LED Driver:

Input:  3 - 4.5V

Output: 150mA (2.5V to 2.8V)

is there a possibility to use TPS79301  like I can use a LM317 for constant current ?

    Hi Ben,

    It is important to keep in mind that traditional LDOs such as TPS793 regulate the output voltage rather than the current.  It is the load itself that sets the current until a fault condition triggers the current limit of the LDO if applicable.  It is possible to design an application with TPS793 as a constant current LED Driver.  The following examples use TPS7A40; however, the concepts can be applied to TPS793 as well.
