Q: TPS73150DBVR | reverse current protection | SR 1-680742045 | SWITZERLAND by 1147430

Hi team

My customer is asking the maximum voltage/current which can be supplied to the output with the reverse current protection.

As in his design the voltage may is as big as 32V or 55V at the output side.

Thanks in advance for the support.

The TPS73150 absolute maximum output voltage is 5.5V.  Please see datasheet for this information.  You can not apply greater than 5.5V to the OUT pin.  The IC blocks current into the output, so the voltage source you apply can have any current capability.

    Hi,

    TPS73150 -

I connected the EN and Vin pins to 5v of a power supply and the GND pin to the GND of the power supply .

I measured the voltage on the Vout pin - it was 5.3v. I circuited the Vout with the GND  and disconnected them.

I measured the voltage on the Vout pin - it was 3.7v (instead of 5.3v)

Do you know what could be the problem?

I am looking for a component which has a short circuit protection, and with Vin, Vout=5v.

Can you please recomand me of such component?

    Thank you,

    Inbal
