Q: TPS768xxQ: Datasheet correct? by 1098475
Hi,
maybe I found an small mistake in the datasheet of the TPS768xxQ. Please take a look on page 3, dropout voltage of the TPS76850. There is a typical value (380mV) given for the entire temperature range (-40C...125C) for 5V output voltage. I guess it's the maximum voltage drop and not the typical voltage drop. One other question: Is the voltage drop for an adjustable device the same as for fixed version. I mean can I expect the same voltage drop at 5V output voltage for an adjustable version compared to the fixed version?
BR and thanks a lot, Xaver

I agree that the 380mV dropout for the TPS76850 should be listed as the maximum and not the typical. Dropout voltage will be the same for both the fixed and adjustable. versions. Both versions use the same pass element, so dropout is identical.
