We want to use MC33063A as Voltage-Inverting Converter. From datasheet is not clear the maximum of output negative voltage. Can we get Vout= -36v ? And what is a max output current for this voltage?
Eli,
When used in the inverting configuration the ground lead of the MC33063A connects to Vout. VIN - VOUT must be less than 40V. That only allows VIN to be 4V. Converting less than 4V to -36V will not work well on this device. The peak current must be less than 1.5A and this will indirectly limit the output current.

why for inverting configuration Vin is limited to 6v?
In figure 10 of data sheet, CT is 1500pF which is about 25uS using Ton chart (in figure 1).The current increase in the inductor is V*T/L, V=6V-1.5V, T=25uS, L=88uH. So delta inductor current is 1.28AThe application could run with higher VIN if the Ton time was reduced or the inductor value was increased.
