Hi,
We are using TPS5430 (Power PAD SOIC package) for generating supply of LM3S9B96 micro-controller in our one of project.
- Input Supply 24V DC of TPS5430
- Output Supply 3.3VDC TPS5430 for micro-controller.
Now recently we face two type of problem in TPS5430.
1. ) Output 3.3V DC not generate and we check Output, Input and Ground Pin Short each other.
2.) Output not generate and we check output, input and ground not short each other.
Now we replace TPS5430 in both condition and we get 3.3V properly.

Dharmendra
Don't confuse.
Both problem generate in separate TPS5430, it means we have two damage TPS5430.
It sounds like you have damage the ICs somehow. The most common problem is over voltage causing EOS damage. Can you provide some details about your system set up? Do you perform any "hot plugging"?

We are testing in LAB. TPS5430 not getting HOT.
But due to this IC in both cards micro-controller not working and also in micro-controller GND and VCC pin short each other...
Can you give me any analysis for this? How can I send this damage IC to you for more analysis. How can this damage and why it is damage in LAB?? what reliability in field??
Pls help.. and give the solution..
i would need to see waveforms to tell if anything is operating improperly. Your schematic looks ok. You should contact your local AFA to submit devices for FA.
