Using TPS63030 with 30uF output capacitor, steady current less than 10mA (normal mode).
The output voltage drops from 3.3V to 1.6V (for 250usec) when a transient of less than 100mA is enabled on its output.
Is that normal?
The TPS63030 load transients are visible in figures 16 and 17 of the datasheet. The voltage peaks around 60mV for the two load conditions then returns to regulation.
Are you using the EVM or your own board? If you are using your own design, please compare it to that of the EVM as in the TPS63030 EVM User's Guide; make sure the schematic matches, the component selection matches, and the layout matches.
What is your input voltage? Please confirm the current limit on your input supply is sufficient. If your design matches the EVM or if you are using the EVM, please provide schematic, layout, and analog scope shots of the switch nodes L1, and L2; also VIN, VOUT, and FB.
