We are uusing the tps62260 Adjustable in DDC pack. It is configured to 3.3V with 499K and 110K resistors 2.2uH inductor and 10uF ceramic cap on the output
We found one unit that the output voltage didn’t reach 3.3v and the unit was stuck at 2.85V. The TPS62260 was not switching.
Measured voltages were
Vin = 3.6V
V_EN = 3V
V_FB = 0.5V
Vout = 2.85V (IC not switching)
Confirmed that GND is properly connected
After measuring I restarted the unit and every thing is working (OUTPUT SWICHING AND 3.3V)
What could be the reason for this behavior and how can I avoid it from happening again
Since your circuit is configured in a typical way, I need to see waveforms of Vin, Vout, EN, and SW when the IC enters this state. Also, note the output load during this time.
You might want to check your input voltage at the IC to ensure that it is not being reduced by drops across cables, connectors, etc.
