TPS54340 Reboot issue :

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS54340

Hi All,

In one of my power supply design circuits, i am using TPS54340 to generate 4V @ 3A from 4.7V input. Its a low dropout application where efficiency needs to be very high. Switching frequency for TPS54340 is set to 600KHz. Using this 4V, there are subsequent power supplies which generate 3.3V and other voltages which initialize DM365 processor and other peripherals. After DM365 initialization, software will enable 3.3V power input to another external peripheral which demands less current. But, after giving power to this external module, the whole system reboots . Upon investigation, we sorted out that the 4V output from TPS54340 is dropping momentarily i.e., TPS54340 is rebooting.

This scenario is not observed when we increase the input voltage from 4.7V to 5.1V, but we need the system to be operated at 4.7V input. Tried to analyze the circuit in WEBENCH, it was all fine there.

Can anyone please suggest a point where i can look at or that i missed to take care in the design?

Thanks !
