Dear TI

This is general question,it's not TI device.

During dual- phase DCDC switching converter is operated ,when load transient is fast and this ON/OFF frequency is same as switching frequency or 50% switching frequency,ch to ch is unbalance and then output current is increased in one ch.

Have you ever heard like this phanomenon?

If anybody know this, please let me know.

No, I have not heard of this type of thing. If the control topology is well designed, each phase should support the load transient. Figures 30 and 31 in our TPS62180 show this.

my question is :

my input voltage is 12V,and output volatge is 5V with 5A curren

if i use the 1uH indutor with lower RDS, will the efficiency reach as high as 95% or above???

i want to know the correctly answer about this question,not may or will

Webench estimates the efficiency for Vin = 12 V, Vout = 5V and Iout = 5 A at 96.1% using 1 uH inductors for TPS62180.

TI has a EVM about TPS62180,TPS62180EVM-581 (PWR581-001), can this EVM reachs higher efficiency (95% or above),did any one test the demo at which the input is 12V with output 5V@5A

Thanks for specifying the part number.

Yes, if you look in the back of the D/S, there are efficiency curves. Both the 6Vout and 3.3Vout one are around 95% at 5A. 5Vout will be there as well.
