TPS40055 EVM capacitor

Hi

Our customer bought the two EVM of TPS40055 which is TPS40055EVM-001.

However the capacitor which is C16 and C17 on the EVM(#2)  is different from the following device.

#1 (One of EVM)                                       

    

#2 (another EVM)

 

I think the capacitor is right side of EVM is different from left side.

What is the part number of the capacitor (C16,C17) on the right side EVM? (Panasonic?)

Because our customer is concerned the wrong EVM or worng device.

    Neither one of those part numbers look correct.  Are the case sizes the same including thickness?

    They are probably both 2.8 mm height.
    The original 4TPD470M is D4D package 7.3 x 4.3 x 3.6, 10 mohm ESR. It is not in the current Panasonic catalog.
    #1 is 4TPF 470ML in D3L package, 7.3 x 4.3 x 2.8, 10 mohm ESR. It is generally equivalent to 4TPD470M. It is probably the best cross to the original.
    #2 is 2.5TPB470ML also in D3L package, but 2.5 V and 40 mohm ESR. it looks to be a Sanyo part not in the current Panasonic catalog. As the EVM output is 1.8 V it is probably safe, but the ESR is higher so more ripple and compensation is not optimum.
