Hi Team,

My customer is looking for IR LED(Vf=1.8V) driver that can output 800mA.
Input range is 3.0～4.3V, so buck topology is required.

Vin: 3.0～4.3V
Vf of IR LED: 1.8V
Iout: 800mA
-------------------------------------------
Is there any TI device that meets the requrement?

You could use the TPS62090 in the same way as this app note: www.ti.com/.../slva451.pdf

I understood TPS62090 is available for LED driver.

I believe TLV62090 is also available.
Is my understanding correct?

Yes, these two devices function the same way to drive LEDs.

Thank you for your continuous support.

My customer wants to switch 0.5A and 0.35A for LED current.
I saw your app-note and designed schematic as the following.
Is it reasonable design for TLV62090?

It seems Iss of TLV62090 is 7.5uA, so I calculated RSS1=52kΩ under VFB=0.25V(Current control=Low).
*Vf of IR-LED is 1.8V.

I would be appreciate if you check the design.
