TPS63060 Iout(max) calculation

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS63060, TPS63061

I have some doubt regarding the Iout(max) calculation of TPS63060 regulator. Following I refer to SLVSA92B datasheet.

BOOST mode

VIN=2.5V,  VOUT=8V

In this condition, using equations 1 and 2 and the figure 7 we can get the following results:

Isw=3.1A (from figure 7)

Efficiency=0.8 (used as an assumption as suggested by the datasheet)

D = (8-2.5)/8 = 0.6875 (from equation 1)

Iout(max) = 3.1*0.8*(1-0.6875) = 0.775A (from equation 2)

However, looking at the figure 9 (red line) it seems that the maximum output current that the device can deliver in this condition is 0.35A more or less.

Why from equation 1 and 2 the results are different from the data of figure 9?

BUCK mode

In buck mode, equation 4 suggests that Iout(max) is equal to the Isw get from figure 7.

For example, at VIN = 6.5V and VOUT = 2.5V, equation 4 returns a maximum output current of 2.05A

However, from figure 9 (black line) the Iout(max) seems to be 2.7A in this condition. Why there is that difference?

Thank you in advance for the support.
