how to impove efficicency of sync_buck to 95% or above

did TI has any examples that the sync buck converter can be up to 95% efficicency under following condtion:

  Vin  = 20V

 Vout = 4.2V

 Iout = 8A

i used LMG5200 to do it ,but the efficiency just can be up to 90% under the conditon above

Is ZVS  can be used to realize it ???

and is there any ZVS circuit that can be implemented to sync buck to refer?

  • Webench shows LM27403 synchronous buck controller shows the highest efficiency at 94.76 % at 8A load.  I would probably start there.  There are other solutions that are very close (above 93%).  You can input your requirements to webench and choose from the options available.
