Vin(max)-5V

Vout=17V

Low cost

I found theLM2623.

Any other recommendation

hello, look at the TPS61040 family. This has 1.8V input operation. You can configure it for a single string of 8 LEDs, or you can parallel two strings of 4 LEDs and tie the cathodes together at the current setting resistor.

Hi,

LM2623 is a simple boost without LED driver in it, so there won't be brightness control and adaptive boost voltage control to reduce power loss. Its package is even bigger than TPS60142. I think this family is only option can support this low input voltage range.

For the new project also cosmetic application, need a step up converter for led/leaser driver (9 led in series):
Vin=2.7V-4.2V
Vout=30V
Il=3A.
Please advise best low cost recommended solution
Customer is looking at MICREL, MIC2253

The closest device we have for this application is the TPS61500.
