40062 ?

That would be a picture of the IC. My idea is to evaluate this circuit and then use it in my own design later. Right now this IC seems to fail when i use the pin which i think is the shutdown pin. With a datasheet i could do much more and also try to source this ic.

Thanks again for the reply, im realy confused with that one. The component would be the same as   While digging deeper it seems at least the way this IC is connected it looks like a LT3800, its almost the same as the reference circuit. Is it possible this is using TI as a fake logo? the DCDC seems rather common. I wanted to use this circuit because it is used so often, i dont want to totally design my own DCDC as i have the feeling my knowledge is not sufficient for that.

I think that you are absolutely correct in your assumptions that this may indeed be a pin for pin of the LT3800 ic.

Even the exposed pad ( pin 17 ) is the same which is a switched round from the Transistor on the input side of the PCB ( FDP75N08A ) which is an N channel Mosfet.

I have one of these in my collection and have tested it, i do this because more often than not is is a very inexpensive way of evaluating a particular i.c. 

But as ever the specs that are laid down when you purchase these things never do equate to reality and this particular item regulates well to 10Amps and NOT 15Amps as per the specifications.

yes I have this module from Ebay  and the IC failed  in mine after 3 minutes at 44 volts input ,  Another  rip off  .    looks like bad design

We don't sell anything on ebay.  From personal experience, you should be able to return it for a refund.

I understand you do not sell anything at Ebay,     I did  get my money back already  and did not have to return it.  But I rather had a working module .

For my own curiosity I am looking into the history of this.  I don't show a TPS40062 in our product catalog.  It may be possible it was some type of custom part.

I have a 40062 chip synchronous rectifier module, but it is broken, I simply draw a bit of external circuit for reference.

Texas Instruments has never released a TPS40062 device into production or offered a TPS40062 device for sale.

The markings on the device do not conform to TI standard part marking conventions.

I am afraid that you have a counterfeit device that was not produced by TI.  Also, I can not find any TI buck controller devices that conform to the schematic you've drawn so I can't even offer a possible recommendation to replace it.
