Hi team,

We are working with the TPS65252 and we have a few questions:

Currently we are seeing 0.4V at pin LX2 when connecting pin EN2 to ground. What could be the reason for seeing this?
- Should we expect to see 0V at LX2 if EN2 is connected to ground?
If we are not using the USB pins, do we just set USB_EN to low?
- What should we connect pins rUSB, USB_VIN, USB_nILIM, USB_VO to? (high, low, floating)

Patel,

if you set EN1 to low, can 0.4V at LX2 be remove?

if no, maybe there is leackage current from LX2. Reduce the resistors' value wich connect to to Vout2, FB2 and GND.

If you don't use USB functions, connect to GND- rUSB, USB_VIN, USB_nILIM, USB_VO

Next Gen device of TPS65252 is TPS65283. If have change, please use TPS65283 instead of TPS65252 in current and new projects.

Hi Jason,

Thank you for your response. If we have both EN1 and EN2 to low, then the output at LX2 is 0V. However if we set EN1 to low then we will not have Buck 1 working.

Is there a way to use just the EN2 pin to have the output at LX2 be 0 V?

Also can you expand on the differences between the TPS65252 and the TPS65283?

the main difference between TPS65252 and the TPS65283 is:
1. Max Vin voltage is 18V.
2. Support Max Continuous Current 3.5 A (Buck1) / 2.5 A (Buck2).
3. Add PSM mode and Forced PWM mode.
4. Use 24 pin VQFN package.
