Please advise us following their questions.

Question1

When NFAULT is High,is there case that circuit breaker doesn't work in this condition ?

Question2

Please send us equivalence circuit of BRKG pin and BRKS pin.

Regards,

  • Answer 1: The circuit breaker is powered by VIN. If UVLO is high, there are two different scenarios for the circuit breaker to turn on:
    (1) If the Fault Detection function is enable: VIN must be at least 10V higher than the 12V-port voltage.
    (2) If the Fault Detection is disabled by placing a 10k resistor across SYNCOUT and AGND: VIN must be at least a few volts higher (the breaker FETs' Vth).

Answer 2: It is shown in the datasheet block diagram: a current source powered by VIN, sourcing current to BRKG, and a 12V internal Zener clamps the voltage across BRKG-BRKS, and an internal FET to pull down the BRKG to AGND to fast turn off the breaker FET.
