TPS61088: Shut Down problem

Dear Support team,

I am using TPS61088RHLR Boost converter. The of the converter is 8.4V LiIon battery pack and the output is 12V. When the device is Enabled, I have fixed 12V output, but when I make EN pin low I have near 7V output, I would like to know what can I do to fully disable the converter.

For the TPS61088, the input and the output always connected together through the upper FET body diode even when it is disabled. You can add an extra FET to realize the load disconnect function. please refer to the attached file for reference. 4011.Input to Output Isolation for the TPS61170.pdf

Helen Thank You very much for help.
But why TI named this pin as an ENable pin if it does not really does its function its more bypass pin than Enable and makes it very confusing.

I used it for Power management board of the 12V supplied Single Board computer.

disable means disable the boost function. all the boost converter define in this way. Sorry for the confusion. So you need to add extra FET to completely disconnect it from the load side. or you can use TPS61178, this IC has load disconnect pin, but the external FET is still needed.
