LM5161: LM5161 Pin14 connection

Hi,

I’m designing a product that uses a LM5161 regulator, I have noticed the pin 14 of the device is labelled as NC (no connection).

However, in the reference design and Evaluation kit pin 14 is connected to SW (pins 12 and 13).

Can anyone tell me if I need to connect pin14 to pins 12 and 13 and what the reason is for this.

Hello John,

There is not connection to this pin and its not required to connect to the switch node, the pin was connected to pins 12 and 13 to provide better thermal performance of the device. Suggest doing the same...
