LM2575HV: Part Markings

Part Number: LM2575HV

I would like a guide to what the part marking on LM2575HV refer to. None of the TI or National Semiconductor guides I have seen match what is on these devices.

  • Frank,

Let me check on this and get back to you.

    -Sam
  • Hi Sam,
Were you able to find information on the LM2575HV chip markings?
    Thanks,
    Frank
  • Still looking. This is an older part so I need to find the right person who knows.
  • Hi Frank,

From what I am understanding of the part you have, I have been told that the National Chip will have the following possible set of markings:

    Example: JM92AB

    1. The first letter represents the Fab
    2. The second letter represents the Assembly Facility
    3. The first digit represents the year it was made (for example 9 for National would be 2009)
    4. The second digit represents the work week if the number is multiplied by 6 (for example 2 would be the 12th work week or, for clarity, the month of March)
5/6: The last two letters represent the lot tracibility

If you have the part on you and it doesn't have this style of marking we would appreciate a picture accompanying your next message to figure out exactly what each mark means.

    Thanks,

    Aodhan
  • Hi Aodhan,

My markings are in the format 6ACNKDUE3. I believe the last two letters are the lead finish, and possibly the first two have to do with the date code.

    Thanks,

    Frank

  • Hello Frank,

I see that the part is National but using a TI scheme for marking so this is what your part markings mean:

    LM2575HVS code: 6ACNKDUE3

"6" corresponds to the year in which the part was released for shipment so in this case 2016.

"A" corresponds to the month in which the part was released for shipment so in this case, October (A little like Hex so after 9 its the letters A then B then C for October through December).

"CNKD" corresponds to the assembly lot code.

"U" corresponds to the primary assembly lot code/facility.

"E3" corresponds to the environmental categorization.

    Hope this helps,

    Aodhan
