Q: TPS54292 datasheet vs SwitcherPRO by 1149346
Automation questions SwitcherPRO vs datasheet calculations:
"I just installed the SW, and I'm surprised to find the software's recommendations does not match my calculations for compensators. I based my calculations on the data sheet formulae and design examples."
I would like explanation of differences between datasheet approximations and SwitcherPRO.

The datasheet calculations use linearized and/or simplified equations that are designed to allow a customer to convert them into a calculation tool or hand calculation, such as Excel. Switcher Pro uses a series of much more indepth calculations and mathmatical models to develop components that are not practical to provide via a datasheet equation.
Switcher Pro calculations tend to me more accurate than the datasheet approximations due to the ability of switcher pro to use much more complex equations than can be presented in a datasheet.
