Q: TPS54620 Enable pin absolute maximum value by 605762
HI,
My customer has produced a TPS54620 data sheet that lists the abs max voltage on the enable pin as 3.0V. The version I down loaded from TI.com shows this value at 6.0V.
I tend to believe the version on TI.com, but I am seeking confirmation as this is a high volume opportunity and we are getting close to final schematics. Please confirm the correct abs max value.
Thanks,
Mark

Hi Mark,
The correct maximum voltage on the enable pin is 6.0 V. However, if the voltage on the enable pin exceeds 5 V, the Vin voltage must be high impedance and not source more than 100 uA into the enable pin. Also, a capacitor should not be placed directly on the enable pin if the voltage is greater than 5 V when using a voltage divider to adjust the start/stop voltage.
