Q: TPS60204 application when inserting the batteries with reverse polarity by 1621419
I am using the TPS60204 in a product powered by 2 AA alkaline batteries. When I insert the batteries with reverse polarity, the TPS60204 fails. Can you recommend a circuit -- not simply a diode in series with batteries -- to overcome this shortcoming as customer indicated? You have violated the TPS60204 abs max ratings. TI can not guarantee functionality after the insert the batteries backwards. The question of reverse polarity protection has been asked before and is addressed in the forum. You can find information on this by searching "reverse polarity". I have attached a link to make sure you don't have trouble finding it.
