Q: TPS61251 Current Limit in LDO mode by 1594102
When the TPS61251 is operating in the LDO mode (Vout < Vin), how is the current limit determined?
A: Re: TPS61251 Current Limit in LDO mode by 10449
There is not a defined spec for the “LDO” mode current so I can't point to a datasheet calculation to determine this current. The LDO current will be less than the maximum programmed current set by the external resistor. The datasheet startup graphs show that the LDO current will be somewhere between 85% and 95% of the maximum programmed current. I would expect the actual measured current to vary another 5% or so over temperature and process because the LDO current is not trimmed at test.
