Q: TPS62420 efficiency at 1.2V/1A output by 581505
Do we have efficiency curves that extend to 1A for 1.2V output and 5V input? I have 1.2V/1A and 3.3V/255mA derived from 5V input, is this out of the operational range of the TPS62420?
A: Re: TPS62420 efficiency at 1.2V/1A output by 10449
The TPS62420 is capable of providing Vin=5V to Vout=1.2V at 1A on OUTPUT2. Because of the lower output voltage, a 1.2V output voltage efficiency will be slightly lower than a 1.8V output voltage efficiency. The following application note provides details about how to calculate efficiency at different operating conditions than the datasheet provides.

Efficiency plots with the specific operating condition above are not available, but can be taken with the EVM which is available through TI's eStore.
