Hi,

I am working with AM1808.

In our design we are driving the TFT LCD backlight(LED+ & LED-) with TPS65070 wLED boost block. We changed the connections as per OMAP-L138 reference circuitry.

We require the power for LCD is 20–30V Voltage, 20-40 mAmps Current. I gone through TPS65070 regulator driver code. As per datasheet says we are going to configure the TPS65070 registers using I2C.

Can I know the settings in driver code. How to modify it and give me suggestions.

Thanks,

Francis Kumar. B

As stated in page 35 of the datasheet, you can set the wLED sink current by your selection of the resistors connected to ISET1 and ISET2. The max current sink is 25mA per string.

Through the I2C bus, you can select ISET1 or ISET2, set dimming frequency and PWM duty cycle by using registers WLED_CTRL1 and WLED_CTRL2. Additionally the current sink enable bit can be set externally using pin EN_wLED.

    Thanks for your reply.

Can i know where i am going to change in Linux tree.

I am going to change the wLED logic in this path: // linux-03.20.00.11/drivers/regulator# vi tps6507x-regulator.c

Please give me a suggestions what are the files need to modify for this BackLight.

Texas Instruments does not support a Linux kernel for the TPS65070 at this time.  There are several publically available resources that might have the information you are looking for.  This web site might be a good place to look  http://www.tux.org/lkml/   I am sure there are others that I am not aware of.
