TPS65217D Super Cap to battery pin

Hi,

I am using TPS65217D to power my MPU and other peripheral device in the board. The device is powered from  USB and we observed that during boot up and during the Wifi enabling the current is shooting beyond 500mA(reaching 600 mA for 2-3 seconds). So i am planning to connect a super cap  to the battery pin to supply the deficient current during the peak time. Is it feasible to connect super cap to battery pins of the PMIC? What should the maximum value of super that i can connect? What are the other precautions i should take while connecting the super cap to battery pins.

Regards

Charles
