TPS65217C output voltage problem

I am using TPS65217C on my board and I have used the Beagle bone black as my reference. I have connected a 5V supply to AC pin of the PMIC. The voltage across SYS1 & SYS2 pins is 0.999V when the voltage is isolated from rest of the board including PMIC via a 0 ohm resistor. I have checked the input voltage rising edge time and it is below 50ms. Could you suggest some tests to figure out if the IC is working fine or needs to be replaced.

I have check the Nreset pin status and PB_In pin status. both are high and show a voltage level of 3.6V.

  • Srihari,

If you connect the 5V supply on the BAT pin do you see 5V on the SYS pin?

  • Hi Greg,
I am also facing the same below issue

All our 3 boards are not usable because of this issue, I tried connecting BAT pins to 5V, this gives SYS voltage also 5V but non of the other voltages coming from Internal DCDC converters case,

pls suggest any other solution, I also saw in the internet many people are facing the same problem with this TPS65217C device, It could be a great help if TI takes this seriously and provides the possible solution.

  • Hello Greg,

I have the same probleme with you when using TPS65217C, but still trying to get a solution.

If you have anything news from this issue, please share your solution for everyone. Of course, I will.

    Thanks,

    Van

  • Hello Srihari,
Did you try to pull up pin PWR_EN to High level ?
