TPS65218 PMIC

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM3358, TPS65218, TPS2051

I am using the TPS65218 PMIC with the AM3358 ARM processor.  I have a couple of questions regarding this PMIC and our application.

1. Are there any concerns in connecting DCDC3 DDR 1.35/1.5V to DDR3L memory but using LS1 to connect to AM335x DDR3 memory interface.  Typically I would have used the same supply for these 2 connections but in the usage diagrams for this PMIC it shows LS1 being connected to VDDS_DDR of AM335x and DCDC3 being connected directly to DDR3 memory.

2. Should I be concerned about using TPS65218 LS2 and LS3 load switches for USB0 and USB1  power distribution switch in our application since placement of USB connector will be several  inches from AM335x and there are max voltage drop guildines  for USB.  Should I use something like TPS2051 instead?   I noticed in recent AM437x  EVM using TPS65218 that they connected LS2 load switch output from ARM to output of TPS2051.   Shouldn't they have allowed ability to disconnect LS2 from ARM or TPS2051 output since both switches are not needed.  They could depopulate TPS2051 but not sure what they would do if they wanted to use TPS2051 and not ARM since it did not look like LS2 could be disconnected.  Looking for feedback!  Did they try to provide both options in case they had too much voltage drop in LS2 path from PMIC?   Just trying to confirm best approach for our application using TPS65218 and AM3358 with 2 USB ports...
