USB and AC input difference for TPS65217?

We are designing a System-On-Module board for AM335x/TPS65217C. Due to limited pin count on external interface, we must choose a power supply input between USB and AC, but not both.

In datasheet we see no dramatic functional difference between USB and AC input. The only difference we found is current limitation. AC allows a maximum current of 2.5A, while USB allows 1.3A at most. Is there other concerns should be taken carefully for one should be preferred to the other?
