Altera Stratix 10 PMU?

Do we have any design collateral for Stratix 10?  Any plans to develop a Ref Design and/or PMU to support Stratix 10?  Perhaps adapt a Stratix V design to Stratix 10?

  • Leonard,

Right now, we do not have a specific reference design for the Stratix V and Stratix 10. That said, if you are able to provide use with a power map or power requirements, we can help find the correct PMIC solution. We have a wide range of PMICs that have flexible output voltages, sequencing, control and more. With more information, we can provide the best solution.

When there is a reference design available for these FPGAs, I will be sure to inform you and post it to this thread.

If you know your power requirements,  go to ti.com/quickpmic to search for the best device.

  • Shawn,

Any update on the Stratix 10 reference design?

  • Seems Shawn is no longer in this group, please advise as to Stratix 10 power Ref Design status.

    Thank you,

  • Hi Leonard,

At this point we have not completed a Stratix 10 reference design due to lack of customer requests. We had plans to develop a high end variant using an OTP spin of the recently released TPS650860 but they are not currently being pursued. Artix 7 and Arria 10 designs are our current priorities, but if we have customers interested in a Stratix design these could be adapted. As Shawn mentioned, if you have any power map / requirements for a particular design we can point to the best PMIC option, but it's hard to pick a specific one when the current ranges can be between a couple of amps and 18A+.
