TPS68470 GPIO voltage level

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS68470

Hi,

Customer is using TPS68470/GPIO5 as camera reset signal.  The voltage level of this signal is 1.2V.  I didn’t see any external pull-up on this signal, and assume it should be configured as a push-pull signal.  But I don’t know why it’s 1.2V.  I found they add a pull-down resistor (R4620=100kohm) to GND on this signal, is this related to the 1.2V voltage level?  Do they need to add this pull-down resistor?  WHat shpuld be the expected voltage level here

Thanks!

  • Hi Antony,

This really depends on how they have GPCTL5A configured. In the datasheet you can see the default reset values of the GPCTL5A (GPIO5)register is an input with an internal pull-up, set to LDO_IO domain. If they have not adjusted this register and are using the 100kΩ external pull-down, then they have a resistive divider incorporating the 50kΩ pull-up to the 1.8V source, which results in 1.2V.
