Documentation for the TWL6030 Power Management Chip

Two Questions:

  1. Is there another document for the TWL6030 besides the full datasheet that lists all of the base addresses for the internal configuration registers.  The datasheet does not seem to state the I2C address for the TWL6030 device, the write commands, and the internal registers.  Also, there are two I2C busses: one is general-purpose and the other is dedicated to SmartReflex applications.
  2. Besides the Pandaboard, is there a reference schematic for the TWL6030

    Hey Jeff,

    Yes, there are several documents beyond the datasheet for this device. You can contact your local FAE to help provide these documents. Documents that could be useful to you might include the Register Manual, OTP programming application note, and PCB layout guidelines.

    If you don't know who your local FAE is, please let me know and we can work to get you connected.

    Which processor are you attaching to? I can help to point in the direction of a relevant reference schematic.

    Thanks for your detailed reply!  Could you please point me to a reference schematic besides the Pandaboard?  I am using the OMAP4460 processor.  I believe that I do know who my local FAE is, so I'll ask him for the Register Manual, OTP programming application note, PCB layout guidelines, and anything else that is not available for me to download from the TI website.

    Hello: We are also after manual for the TWL 6030 registers as we are trying to debug issue with the RTC in the TWL6030 as used by the GUMSTIX module.

    This is an urgent matter for us as it effects one of our products which utilises GUMSTIX.

    How do we go about getting the NDA for the documents, our local distributor has not responded to request for additional documentation.

    We are in Perth Western Australia
