Hello、

I use TPS65185 for EPD.

I have question about VSET( 0x02h )register and set value.

VSET[2:0] can set "011 - ±15.000 V" to "110 - ±14.250 V". These value written in datasheet page 30.

However, VDDH_OUT and VEE_OUT parameter in operating condition datasheet page 8 seems be able to set over voltage.

The test condition of VDDH_OUT parameter VSET = 22V and the test condition of VEE_OUT parameter VSET = -20V.

These are also written in page 8.

VSET[2:0] register can be set +22V and -20V only in test conditions?

Would you please let me know this inconsistency?

Nobuyuki,

Register 2 is referring to the LDOs (VPOS and VNEG) not the Charge pumps(VDDH and VDD) which have resistor dividers on their outputs that set the voltage. Their output voltages are not set via registers as the LDOs are done.

Thank you for your answer that how to adjust VDDH and VEE.

I have additional question that related to the VSET.
Would you tell me How to set the VSET value that +22V or -20V.

Please refer to the TEST CONDITIONS in datasheet page8 "VDDH_OUT Output voltage range".
There is written "VSET = 22V".
But it cannot set in 0x02h register.

Would you please let me know.

Nobuyuki,

You would need to change the external voltage divider to get a higher voltage, since it is not controlled by I2C. Vset just means it is externally configured to have an output voltage of 22V.
