TPS65835 CCS Support

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65835, MSP430G2553

Hi!

I am starting to work with the TI TPS65835 chip and was wondering if there is already CCS support for it. I can't seem to find the support files onthe product's web page, nor is it included by default in my CCS version (6.1.3.00033).

By reading through the forums I saw that at least at one point in time, the TPS65835 support for CCS was planned. I am referring to the following thread in which Mr. Christopher Johnson from TI wrote about the planned support (the post is quite old so i decided to open a new topic):

I've also looked at an example code for the mentioned chip from the following post and also found a "TPS65835.h" header file, which seems to be missing in the default CCS installation:

I would appreciate any input on whether the TPS65835 is supported in CCS and if so, where can I find the install package mentioned in the first linked post.

If working on the support package was canceled and none exists, I would appreciate guidance on how to approach developing code without it. Do i work with the msp430g2553 MCU as the target device when making a new CCS project and use the msp430g2553.h header file?

Thank you in advance for all your help.

Cheers!

  • Hi Casper,

I have moved your thread from the MSP forum to the CCS forum for additional support.

  • Hi Akash,

Thank you and apologies for posting to the wrong forum.

Would you perhaps happen to know if your (former?) colleague Christopher Johnson from the TI's PMU Systems Engineering department is still active in this field and could provide the answer to my original question? From the links I posted it seems like he was the one working on TPS65835 IC and had the most knowledge on the subject.

    Thank you.
  • Hi Casper,

We actually moved it from the CCS forum to the PMIC forum to see if we can better get an answer from here and I just followed up with some of the folks on that team so that we can get an answer.
