Hi,

I received the following question from my customer.

How should the TPS65217 re-start when the VSYS is not ouput by some error(i.e. Momentary drop of input voltage)?

We think that there is 2 way.

1) Dropping PG to low during 8sec

2) Re-starting input voltage

Is there another how to re-start?

    According to the global state diagram in the datasheet (Figure 20) , there are two reset conditions from any state in the top right corner. This includes PB low for more than 8 seconds, or pulling nRESET low.

    However, this might be an avoidable situation, is it possible that they are not using a battery in their design?
    Are they able to reproduce this VSYS error?
