All,

I have a question about TPS65217C. If VLDO2 is not used, What is good solution?

Example1 :  VLDO2 is floating (no external CAP), LDO2_SEQ and LDO2_EN are disabled in ACTIVE mode once.

Example2 : VLDO2 is connected to VINLDO (no external CAP), LDO2_SEQ and LDO2_EN are disabled in ACTIVE mode once.

Example3 : VLDO2 is connected to VINLDO (no external CAP), no register settings.

Could you tell me good solution?

    Hi Iwasaki-san,

    Disabling LDO2_EN should help reduce quiescent currents, so I think Example #2 sounds the most ideal. Example #1 might interfere with the power-good monitoring features of the device and isn't recommended without an output cap.

    Connecting VLDO2 to VINLDO with a 0 ohm resistor would allow your design to meet all 3 cases just in case.
