TPS65218x Data Sheet Info Confusion

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM4376, TPS65218

Hi,

I'm trying to use the TPS65218x to power a TI Sitara AM4376 Cortex A9 processor in a very rudimentary fashion (on if power is available, no backup supply).

There are a few things that are confusingly written in the Data Sheet

On p3 it says for pin AC_DET  "Power enable input for DCDC1-4, LDOs and load switches. See state diagram for details. Tie pin to
IN_BIAS if not used. Switch pin for DCDC3. Connect to inductor." I guess that the last part is just a copy & paste error, however the information "if not used connect to IN_BIAS is contradicting the information in section 7.3.1.1 where it says that the Device will turn on if AC_DET is grounded OR "The main power is connected (IN_BIAS) and AC_DET is grounded".

So what do they mean? IN_BIAS is obviously going to be HIGH when main power is available, because it is directly connected to that. However if AC_DET is connected to IN_BIAS, it will NOT be grounded and thus prevent the device from turning on??
