TPS65910 VDDIO

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65910

All,

I have a question about TPS65910. When VDDIO is forced from an external power supply,

when is it forced?  Is it possible to be forced after 3.3V of TPS65910 is powered up?

Regards.,

  • Iwasaki-san,

Yes this is fine, Table 4-1 in the datasheet details the power domains associated to each pin, and the ones dependent on VDDIO are only the i2c, SR_i2c, GPIO_CKSYNC, NRESPWRON, INT1, and CLK32KOUT pins.

These would be the only blocks affected by an absent VDDIO, and since the PMIC does not have any specific timing requirements for that domain, one would just need to ensure these blocks are active for the specific application or processor.
