Hello,

In my understanding, below circuit is used for power sequence of TPS650250 + AM335x.

My question is

if I connect this SYS_EN pin directly to Vcc (5V) of TPS650250, power sequence works properly also? Not only Power on sequence but also Power off sequence.

Is there any special needs of this SYS_EN pin for proper power sequence?

Hi Nicky,

Tying SYS_EN to VCC will only provide the power-on sequence, since the regulators will lose their input supplies simultaneously if VCC is removed.

Section 6 of the TPS650250 application note proposes a clamp circuit to protect against a complete power loss:
