TPS65094: TPS65094 power on sequcene

Part Number: TPS65094

Hi Sir,

If PMIC's RSMRST and PWROK are rising high already, but PLTRST(from SOC) got some problem, can I narrow down the problem to CPU side instead of PMIC side? Thank you.

  • Hi Chentsu,

If PMIC PCH_PWROK is high, it indicates the PMIC has gone through it's full power up sequence and reported to the processor that it can start. One item to check would be if the VCCGI (BUCK2) rail is powering up. The processor has to send an I2C signal to set the voltage (default voltage is 0 V). If it isn't,  it may indicate the I2C communication isn't working so the BIOS may be wrong. Customer must select TI PMIC in the Firmware Image Tool (FIT) for I2C to work.
