TPS65217CEVM: sys_voltage not coming

Hi all,

In one of our design TPS65217c is used to power AM335X processor. And PMIC does not generating Sys_voltage. SYS_VOLT level is 2.4V.

we are getting POWER_EN High for 50mS and then goes down and PMIC goes in shut down mode. SYS_VOLT level after few seconds is 2.3V. unable to track the PGOOD , LDO_PGOOD and Wakeup line , and processor reset line is continuously remains low.

Some times device boots up perfectly , but some time is fails and gets above results.

Please help for this issue.

Not sure what you mean by "PMIC does not generating Sys_voltage. SYS_VOLT level is 2.4V." SYSTEM voltage is input to the PMIC. Are you talking about analog multiplex voltage?

Rohit,

PWR_EN input to TPS65217C comes from the PMIC_PWR_EN output from the AM335x processor. It is shown correctly on your schematic as "AM335x_PMIC_PWR_EN" coming from page 7, going into pin 9.

Are you using the Linux kernel provided by TI with the integrated TPS65217 drivers?

This may be a driver issue that needs to be posted on the AM335X e2e forum, but I will keep the post here for now.

HI , Jay,

I am talking about SYS and SYS1 PIN of TPS65217C PMIC , voltage on this line is i am getting 2.3V not 5V and i am giving 5V to AC input , and 5V on AC is fine.

In this case LDO1 giving 1.8V for few mS and also POWER_EN is also high for few mS.
