LP87524B-Q1: What is Roof/Floor control?

Part Number: LP87524B-Q1

Hello,

I would like to know about Roof/Floor control.

Thank you.

Regards,

Oguri (TIJ automotive FAE)

  • Hi Oguri-san,

Roof/Floor control is a way to change the output voltage of a buck using the ENx pins. When Roof/Floor is enabled (see bottom 6 rows of Table 3 in the datasheet), then setting ENx low will set the buck to BUCKx_FLOOR_VSET, and setting ENx high will set the buck to BUCKx_VSET. So the ENx pin can change the buck output between 2 configured output voltages.

Each buck can be configured in this way, and can be assigned to one ENx pin for roof/floor control. The buck needs to be enabled before configured as roof/floor control, per table 3.

    Regards,
    Karl
