TPS65233: Digital Satellite Tuner compatible with LNB dCSS protocol

Hello,

 

I am evaluating a double digital satellite tuner.

I would like to know how can I understand whether this device has the satellite tuner compatible with LNB dCSS?

I am going to buy this device as double digital satellite tuner but I would like to know whether this device is compatible with LNB dCSS and not with LNB SCR.

Indeed I need to watch a channel in TV while recording another or record 2 channels simultaneously. To do this the satellite tuner provider website advice that it is possible Only in the presence of an installation that allows the reception of dual satellite signals, such as an LNB system with multiple independent outputs or an dCSS type LNB.

That’s why I would like to know whether this device has the LNB dCSS compatibility.

 

I see that TI has some regulators for LNB device so may be you can help me here according to your system level knowledge?

    Fax, maybe we need more time to give a answer, because you mentioned LNB dCSS and LNB SCR to be compared.

    Not know about the LNB dCSS.
    The TPS65233 is a just LNB regulator which provides power supply for tuner, it doesn't process any protocol, so i think tps65233 maybe compatible with LNB dCSS. According to your said "multiple independent outputs", maybe you need multiple TPS65233 parts to provide power.

    Suggest you to confirm with tuner vendor for your application.
